Race for the Byes:
1) Minnesota Vikings 12-1
-- The Vikings are on cruise control as all that is left is to clinch a #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Week 15 Game: Game against 49ers
2) Carolina Panthers 12-1
-- The Panthers need to keep pace with Minnesota as their one loss came in conference, giving the Vikings the tiebreaker should they finish with the same record. The Panthers have two goals, stay healthy and win the conference.
Week 15 Game: Game against Texans
3) Philadelphia Eagles 10-3
-- Philadelphia needs one of the two teams to come back to them or the Eagles will be playing in the 1st Round for the second consecutive year. This week's game of the week will do a lot to determine the playoff picture as the Seahawks need a win but the Eagles would like to stay ahead of the Rams and keep the 3rd seed.
Week 15 Game: Game against Seahawks
St. Louis Rams 9-5
-- The Rams are nearly assured the 4th seed after their loss to the Ravens this week. If the Eagles get the job done, the Rams will be 2 games back with 3 to play, meaning the Rams will probably face the very dangerous Cowboys in the WC.
Week 15 Game: Loss against Ravens
Race for the Wildcard Spots:
Dallas Cowboys 9-5
-- After completing the New York sweep the Cowboys are essentially in the playoffs. The only question is who will they play as the Eagles could possibly drop down to four setting an NFC East grudge match or a rematch against the Rams, who blew them out in Week 10.
Week 15 Game: Victory against Jets
Atlanta Falcons 7-7
-- The Falcons defense once again gave up a ton of points as the Saints dropped 54 and the Falcons dropped to 7-7 and fell into the 6 spot. The Falcons have two easy games to close out so they have the best chance of any to snag that final spot, especially since the Falcons may be the only team who don't have QB issues.
Week 15 Game: Loss against Saints
Detroit Lions 7-7
-- After a blowout loss to the Raiders the Lions fall back into the quagmire that is the final spot in the NFC. Alex Smith has finally started to show his true colors and it's hurting the Lions as they now have to win a four way two game race to the finish.
Week 15 Game: Loss against Saints
Seattle Seahawks 7-6
-- Bad QB play strikes again as Tebow has helped the Hawks continue their downward spiral, this time barely escaping the lowly Bears with a victory. With the Eagles on deck, things are not looking good for the Seahawks.
Week 15 Game: Seahawks vs. Eagles
New York Giants 7-7
-- The Giants found a way to defeat the Dolphins and keep themselves alive in what's become a crowded playoff picture. The Giants still have an uphill battle and will NEED to cut down on the turnovers but they've got a chance.
Week 15 Game: Victory against Dolphins
New Orleans Saints 7-7
-- The Saints are the newcomer to the playoff picture as they've found a way to clutter the picture even more. Much like the Giants, Lions & Seahawks the Saints are dealing with inconsistent QB play so if they can find a way to overcome it they might be able to sneak into the playoffs.
Week 15 Game: Victory against Falcons
1) Minnesota Vikings 12-1
-- The Vikings are on cruise control as all that is left is to clinch a #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
