San Francisco 49ers (2-0) 41, New York Jets (0-2) 10
The 49ers did start once again with a bang, scoring 21 points in the 1st quarter and they cruised to a 41-10 win, although they lost Jelani Okoye for the next 2 games vs Dolphins and Cardinals. Matthew Stafford will probably keep the lead in the Passing TD category, adding 3 more today.
POTG: Matthew Stafford (QB, 49ers) 13/24, 258 yds, 3 TD, INT
Minnesota Vikings (2-0) 37, Green Bay Packers (0-2) 31 (OT)
Aaron Rodgers nearly gave his team a big win, but Jason Campbell and Jason Avant teamed up twice, once as time expired in the 4th, to tie it up, and once to win the game in OT, as the Vikings barely survived that division battle!
POTG: Jason Avant (WR, Vikings) 8 catches for 82 yds, 2 TD
Arizona Cardinals (2-0) 42 vs Miami Dolphins (1-1) 0
Jack English was almost perfect in the first half, throwing 4 TD passes and the Cards completely shut down the 2010 Super Bowl Champs and won the battle of the last 2 champs.
After the game, coach Superman call his retirement from Madden 10, saying that he was bored by how the game has been in the last 2 seasons. He did say that he would be back for Madden 11 in August, not saying where he would go.
POTG: Jack English (QB, Cardinals) 12/14, 205 yds, 4 TD
Denver Broncos (0-2) 21, Baltimore Ravens (2-0) 36
It is maybe time to respect those Ravens, they took the lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back, helped by a 16-point 4th quarter and with some excellent job by Pat White, Knowshon Moreno and Wes Welker.
POTG; Knowshon Moreno (HB, Ravens) 18 carries/111 yds, 2 TD
Houston Texans (1-1) 38, New England Patriots (1-1) 45
It was a crazy game, where both teams exchanged TD and FG, in the end, tied at 38, the Pats would have 2 huge plays, one by TE Stanley Squirek, who had the best game of his career by far, and the other by Michael Turner, who had the 39 yd TD run to give the Pats the lead they kept until the end.
POTG: Stanley Squirek (TE, Patriots) 8 catches/194 yds, 2 TD
Detroit Lions (2-0) 21, Chicago Bears (0-2) 12
LeSean McCoy had all 3 Lions TD and they controlled the ball for 25 of the 35 minutes, as they got their 2nd win while the Bears are still winless so far.
POTG: LeSean McCoy (HB, Lions) 19 car/61 yds, 2 TD, 4 cat/56 yds, TD
Tennessee Titans (0-2) 12, Indianapolis Colts (2-0) 59
Colts had no pity for their division foes, as they killed them with 31 points in the 2nd quarter as Aziz Perry took center stage in the beating, giving the Colts a 2nd win, while the pitiful Titans are still winless.
POTG: Aziz Perry (WR, Colts) 7 cat/160 yds, 4 TD
Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) 31, Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) 37
The Bengals fought their best battle, but just had no answer for the best RB in the world, Chris Johnson. His 80 yd TD run sealed the game for his team and the rushing crown is already ready for him to wear.
POTG: Chris Johnson (HB, Steelers) 27 car/307 yds, 3 TD
St. Louis Rams (0-2) 7, Seattle Seahawks (2-0) 55
Seahawks scored 45 unanswered points to easily destroy the Rams 55-7 and improve to 2-0, while the Rams are still winless. The Seahawks D created and gained 3 fumbles, which helped the demolition.
POTG: Frank Gore (HB, Seahawks) 24 car/137 yds, 2 TD
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-0) 42, Buffalo Bills (0-2) 3
Jacksonville, like Seattle, scored 40+ unanswered points, and held Bills to a mere FG in the 4th, when the game was done. The Jags had TD from the offense, defense and ST during this game.
POTG: LeMarcus Taylor (HB, Jaguars) 14car/93 yds, TD, 1 cat/67 yds, TD
Washington Redskins (0-2) 31, Dallas Cowboys (2-0) 38
It was a vintage NFC East battle, Redskins scored 21 points in the 2nd, just to see the Cowboys coming back and taking the lead in the 3rd, just to see the Redskins tying it up in the beginning of the 4th.
But Michael Turner, who inexplicably played a 2nd game in this week, got his second straight game-winning TD and the Cowboys barely hold on to win their 1st game of the season.
POTG: Michael Turner (HB, Cowboys) 21 car/191 yds, 2 TD
New York Giants (0-2) 26, Cleveland Browns (1-1) 39
Browns took the lead in the 3rd quarter and saw the Giants try to come back, only to see Julian Clark putting a dagger into their hearts with the Pick-6 and the Browns get their 1st game of the season.
POTG: QB Josh Johnson (QB, Browns) 14/20, 293 yds, 4 TD, 2 INT
Oakland Raiders (0-2) 0 vs San Diego Chargers (1-1) 45
Easy shutout for the Chargers, who dominated everything and got back to .500.
POTG: Scooter Chapman (HB, Chargers) 18 car/108 yds, TD, 2 cat/87 yds, 2 TD
New Orleans Saints (1-1) 41 vs Tampa Bay Bucs (0-2) 34
Both teams passed the ball well, but the Saints had some big running plays and some ST plays that helped them to win this tough divisional battle. Tampa Bay did control the ball for 23 minutes but couldn't stop the big plays when needed.
POTG: Devery Henderson (WR, Saints) KR TD, 3 cat/99 yds, TD
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) 59 vs Atlanta Falcons (1-1) 34
Falcons scored the 17 first points, but Joey Keller took control of the rest, Chiefs scoring 42 of the next 49 points to make the comeback and lead the AFC West.
POTG: Joey Keller (HB, Chiefs) 17 car/251 yds, 3 TD
MNF: Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) 29 vs Carolina Panthers (1-1) 15
2 crucial pick-6 by Mack Jackson and Sheldon Brown was all the difference in this game, a good Monday Night game where both teams had their share of 1st downs (14-12 for Eagles) but little mistakes give the Eagles their 2nd straight win.
POTG: Mack Johnson (MLB, Eagles) 2 Tkl, INT, TD
