Miami Dolphins (1-0) 34, Buffalo Bills (0-1) 23
Darren McFadden was a nightmare in the first 3 quarters, breaking 2 60+ yd TD runs and Bills had the lead 23-14 with less than 16 minutes left.
But a crucial Pick-6 by Suggs and 2 TD runs of Ronnie Brown changed the game around and gave Dolphins their 1st win of this new season.
POTG: Ronnie Brown (HB, Dolphins) 14 carries for 175 yds, 3 TD
Tampa Bay Bucs (0-1) 3, Carolina Panthers(1-0) 48
The Panthers were never worried in this game, dominating everything and putting a beating over the Bucs. They also won the turnover battle (+3) and only allowed 150 yards of total offense.
POTG: Phillip Rivers (QB, Panthers) 12/18, 161 yds, 2 TD
Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders
Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans
Chicago Bears (0-1) 8, Minnesota Vikings (1-0) 31
The Vikes had 2 defensive TD in the 1st quarter, and never looked behind to win this division matchup. They were +3 in the turnover margin and that played a big part in their win.
POTG: Mike Peterson (LB, Vikings) 4 Tkl, 2 FFum
Denver Broncos (0-1)17 vs Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) 31(GOTW)
For 3 quarters, it was a great battle between two of the best AFC teams. In the 4th, the 2-headed monster of Jacksonville was just too much as they would score the 3 TD that would give them the edge in the end.
POTG: LeMarcus Taylor/Beanie Wells (HB, Jaguars) 15 carries together for 201 yds, 3 TD
San Diego Chargers vs Indianapolis Colts
Baltimore Ravens (1-0) 30, New York Jets (0-1) 19
Ravens took a 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back, even in a crazy 4th quarter, where both teams scored a total of 30 points.
The Jets will need to improve their offensive line, as the Ravens took down Mark Sanchez 8 times during the game.
POTG: WR Malcolm Kelly (Ravens) 2 catches, 27 yds, 2 TD
St. Louis Rams (0-1) 12, Detroit Lions (1-0) 30
The Lions took the lead in the 1st and never looked back. Lions ran the ball well (181 yds) and created a lot of turnovers (4 INT, 1 fumble) while being careful with the ball (1 INT only)
POTG: FS Cornelius Blake (Lions) 3 Tkl, 2 INT, 1 FFum
Arizona Cardinals (1-0) 38 Green Bay Packers (0-1) 10
Green Bay scored the only 3 points in the 1st quarter, but Steven Jackson took care of the 2nd quarter and Jack English of the second half, as the Cards easily won their opening game 38-10.
POTG: Steven Jackson (HB, Cardinals) 20 carries for 161 yds, 2 TD
Seattle Seahawks (1-0) 35, New Orleans Saints (0-1) 28
Seattle scored 14 points in the 1st quarter and never looked behind, despite the efforts New Orleans gave. While the Saints dominated the passing yardage, the Seahawks dominated the ground game, with 4 of their 5 TD being on the ground.
POTG: Frank Gore (HB, Seahawks) 20 carries for 147 yds, 3 TD
New York Giants (0-1) 24, Atlanta Falcons (1-0) 38
The big difference in this game was the 3rd down conversion ratio for both teams. In a game were they were almost tied in total offense yards and on turnovers, Giants 1/6 in 3rd down conversion was worse than the 7/10 ratio Atlanta had.
POTG: Adrian Peterson (HB, Falcons) 21 carries for 174 yds, 2 TD
Dallas Cowboys (0-1) 23, Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) 42
The defending AFC champion began their new season with some heavy scoring and Chris Johnson began his chase for his own records, as the Steelers were never worried against a better Cowboys squad, who tried to put up a fight but missed some opportunities.
POTG: HB Chris Johnson (Steelers) 21 carries, 187 yds, 3 TD
Cleveland Browns (0-1) 28 vs Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) 31
Cleveland scored 14 points in the 4th to take a 28-24 lead, but as time expired, Kelly James made a short pass to his last option, Leron James, who got the game-winning TD, sending the Philly crowd into a frenzy.
Cleveland led the league in takeaways last season and had 2 to begin the season while being very cautious with the ball.
POTG: Leron James (HB, Eagles) 18 carries for 155 yds, TD, 4 catches for 29 yds, game-winning TD
Washington Redskins (0-1) 24, Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) 28
It was a very close game, from the 1st minute of play to the last! Skins led 17-14 at half-time, but it should have been 17-7 instead, but they allowed a big TD pass from Wade to Heyward-Bey to end the half.
Redskins would find the way to take back the lead 24-21 after a Marcus Brooks TD run, just to see Bjoern Mason run an even bigger one, giving Cincy the lead they needed and they held on.
POTG: HB Bjoern Mason (Bengals) 15 carries, 119 yds, 2 TD
New England Patriots (0-1) 16 vs San Francisco 49ers (1-0) 51
It was a game to forget for the Pats, especially for rookie sensation Tristan Riley, who had a very horrendous 1st game in the NFL, throwing 4 picks in the first 3 quarters before being replaced, like a good part of the New England starters.
For the 49ers, it was a perfect 1st half, they created ruckus, they scored on the passing and the running game, Jelani Okoye had a very solid 1st game in the NFL and they have a lot of confidence going forward.
POTG: Matthew Stafford (QB, 49ers) 11/17, 227 yds, 4 TD
