Defense wins championships: (Teams and PPG Allowed) Jacksonville Jaguars 10.00 Pittsburgh Steelers 12.89 Seattle Seahawks 14.33 Arizona Cardinals 15.56 Philadelphia Eagles 16.56
Turnover Difference Cleveland Browns +21 Pittsburgh Steelers +18 Seattle Seahawks +17 Denver Broncos +16 Arizona Cardinals +12
-- No surprise that the top 5 defenses are sported by five of the top teams in the NFL. Jacksonville right now is on a disgusting pace, allowing only 10 points a game is absurd. Interesting note that despite the Browns ability to force turnovers, they're still giving up a high number of points.
Garbage time points still count: (Teams and PPG) Cleveland Browns 39.11 Pittsburgh Steelers 38.56 Seattle Seahawks 35.78 Arizona Cardinals 34.78 Jacksonville Jaguars 34.67
3rd Down Conversion Rates Arizona Cardinals: 40/67 59.70% Houston Texans: 54/92 58.70% Jacksonville Jaguars: 43/75 57.33% Pittsburgh Steelers: 39/70 55.71% Minnesota Vikings: 45/84 53.57%
-- Just as expected, the point totals are starting to come down as the games start to have more meaning. Expect these to continue trending down as the big scores should be in the past by now. The Browns big play ability shows on this side of the ball too as they seem to hit the home run or bust.
