NFC
1) Arizona Cardinals 13-3
-- The Arizona Cardinals secured home field throughout the playoffs by knocking off Seattle 38-17 in the regular season finale, ensuring that the road to Indy MUST go through the desert.
2) Philadelphia Eagles 12-4
-- The Eagles took advantage of some late season collapses by the Panthers and Vikings to capture the 2nd bye. If the Eagles meet the Cards in an NFC Championship Game rematch, it'll be in Arizona this time instead of Philly.
NFC Wild Card Round:
3) Minnesota Vikings 11-5 vs. 6) Detroit Lions 10-6
-- It's an NFC North battle in the Wild Card as Detroit travels to Minnesota to take on the division champion Vikings. Detroit has shocked the world before, knocking off the favored 49ers last year in the playoffs and taking down the defending NFC Champion Eagles this season. Still considering the talent disparity, it would be hard to imagine the Lions pulling off another upset.
NFC Wild Card Round:
4) Carolina Panthers 10-6 vs. 5) Seattle Seahawks 13-3
-- A rematch of last year's Wild Card Matchup, the Seahawks travel to Carolina once again to take the NFC South Champion Panthers. This will be a match-up of strength vs. strength as MVP Candidate DeAngleo Williams takes his 41 Touchdowns against arguably the best front seven in the NFL. Seattle must get a big game from Williams because just as Arizona proved, if Henne is forced to do it himself the Seahawks may be in trouble.
AFC
1) Pittsburgh Steelers 14-2
-- The Chris Johnson led Steelers somehow snuck into the #1 seed as Pittsburgh won't have to travel at all during the postseason but they are going to need some big performances from Big Ben. Coach Tomlin was not pleased at his team's performance in a game against Arizona, one in which the Cardinals pulled nearly all of their starters and yet only lost on a last second FG. If the Steelers are to win their record breaking 7th Superbowl, they are going to need a complete performance and not simply lean on CJ2K to do it all.
2) Jacksonville Jaguars 14-2
-- The Jaguars come into the playoffs sporting a very nice record but still stinging from having lost two of their last 4 games. The Jaguars do have the bye week but they must cut down on the turnovers or else it'll be a very abrupt ending to a nice season. Expect Beanie Wells to really come alive this post season as the Jaguars will lean heavy on him and their outstanding defense.
3) Miami Dolphins 13-3 vs. 6) ?
4) Denver Broncos 13-3 vs. 5) ?
San Diego Chargers
Houston Texans
Cleveland Browns
-- When the AFC is figured out I'll update the match-ups but right now I straight up have no fucking clue what's going on in that conference.
